After a hiatus from her solo work to focus on up-and-coming Boston folk group Hawthorn, Taylor Holland has begun creating a new EP that brings a more seasoned sound to her etheric yet powerful songwriting. 'Home,' the first single from the project, is an exploration into the sensory recollections of childhood, at once a lullaby and a memoir. Holland works with the idea of home as a state of being rather than just a physical location, weaving together images and ideas from her own internal 'home.' "There is unending expanse within the song to stretch out and get lost in" (Red Line Roots), an immersive dance of voice and melodic saxophone lines above the broad rhythmic base.
